Our greens team is headed up by Chris Porter, formerly of Stockport Golf Club, and he is assisted by the very experienced duo of Carl and Wayne with Joe added to the team in recent years.
Chris has made many changes to Marple since joining in November 2021. There has been lots of drainage work during the winter, tree work aimed at creating better airflow, new bunkers added to the second and third holes, bunkers improved all round the course, improved tees and pathways established, and of course a program to ensure the greens are in tip top condition..
It would be fair to say the impact Chris has made has been transformational.
