Marple Golf Club members are covered by a golf insurance policy – the details are:
1. Personal Liability: Legal Liability in respect of bodily injury to any person whilst playing a recognised golf course. Legal liability for damage to property whilst playing a recognised golf course. Covered whilst driving a buggy in Britain in respect to Road Traffic Act Liability when playing on a recognised golf course.
2. Personal Accident: Whilst playing on a recognised golf course which covers death, loss of limbs and permanent disablement.
3. Hole in One: Reimbursement of the bar bill incurred on the day, up to a limit of £75. However this must be in an official qualifying competition on a course with less than 6 par three holes and claimed within 14 days of the hole in one. This also excludes match play, Texas scrambles and greensomes.
4. Club Subscriptions: Pro Rata reimbursement of club subscriptions paid when the member is rendered unable to play golf for more than 60 consecutive days in any one year of insurance cover. This only applies when the inability to play results solely from and directly from an accident caused by “violent and external forces” whilst playing golf.
Insurance only covers UK residents aged between 8 and 85.
There is some cover (but with some exceptions) worldwide, whilst the insured is playing golf at a recognised golf course subject to terms and conditions for up to 120 days in any one period of insurance.
